MY PASSION FOR THE OUTDOORS

Hunting and fishing have always been an integral part of my life. I grew up in Vermont but have been able to travel much of the United States through various seasonal jobs in the field of fisheries. During my travels, I've been lucky enough to spend time hunting and fishing in these locations. I had a handful of turkey fans and deer skulls from different states that I collected over the years and never properly mounted them. In 2017, my father and I created the first two state shaped skull mounts for my Connecticut and Iowa bucks. I loved them so much because it reminded me of the travels and adventures I had been on. I thought, maybe someone else might like some of these? Thus, Mills Fish and Game Plaques was created. The first two years I was making plaques in the living room of our apartment. Needless to say, this became a bit of an issue. As popularity and sales have increased, I finally upgraded to nice wood shop where I can maximize quality and productivity. We now reside in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The two best parts of this small business, for me, have been the amount of excellent feedback I've received from hunters and their stories behind the decision to purchase one of my plaques. It's truly a blessing and an honor for me to make these mounts and help preserve some of the best memories hunters have out in the woods.
